Just wish he would understand? Well, now men really CAN know what it’s like to be in your shoes, I mean… on your rag.

Hiromi Ozaki, or the artist otherwise known as Sputniko!, invented something called a “Menstruation Machine.” The title really does it with this one, a further explanation is not really necessary, but don’t worry, I’ll do it anyway. It is a machine that pretty much replicates an average 5 day menstrual cycle. It is kind of like a metal diaper you wear that drips blood and sends pain to the abdomen for the cramping sensations. PMS not included. So for you men out there who might have to try it out someday, just remember that on top of blood and cramping, there is still PMS.

There was some negative feedback about the Menstruation Machine, mostly men who were thinking “why would someone want to subject me to sucha replusive experience especially because if I did want to know what it was like to be a woman I would want to masturbate to multiple orgasm and feel myself up?” As you might have guessed, I don’t find menstruation repulsive partly because it is in our natural human womanhood to have it and is not all that obscene or outrageous. Periods are awesome. Sometimes. Not the times when you are forced to resort back to the fetal position, with a warming pad on clutching a Gatorade bottle.

But don’t you men out there fret, the machine wasn’t made for you. The artist herself says it isn’t just for men, but forwomen too. Rated E, if you will, for Everyone! She says it is for “when menstruation may become obsolete in the future and the process becomes a mere ritual of gender and identity.”

Alright, I think it’s time to show you guys what this bad boy looks like…

There is also a music video that goes along with it for your viewing pleasure. The first clip of the video shows what it looks like inside.

    Wow. Just wow.

I’ve always wished (ok, always is a BIT dramatic) that boys could experience just one period. but taking it to these measures just seems….extreme. c’mon.

    Stopping by from 20sb.

haha I know, srsly. I feel like the concept of blaming pms on why you are upset but still needing to treat it like its not just pms is too difficult to understand if you havent gone through it. haha.
